Wedge upper seat in top position by using
wood shim under tube located under front of
seat cushion or by shim under tube

Remove preload on torsion bars by
a
rotating adjuster lever assembly (index No.
30) counter-clockwise until adjuster
assembly is disengaged from seat.
Disengage back cushion from seat assembly
by removing bolts and lockwashers (index
Nos. 52 and 47).
Disengage seat cushion from assembly L O Remove right hand side panel assembly
by removing nuts, lockwashers and washers (index No. 29) by tapping out sideways.

ASSEMBLY
1 Insert torsion bar set (index No. 27)
in tube being sure that bars are engaged in
retainer (index No. 25) inside tube at
left hand side of seat.
2 Replace right hand side panel assembly
(index No. 29) with yoke (index No. 26)
held in position inside housing on
side panel. Engage yoke (index No. 26)
on free end of torsion bar set (index No. 27).
3 Line up side panels right hand and
left hand retaining the 20" dimension over
side panels.
£ Reassemble seat cushion moving from front
of seat toward rear in order to engage nylon
rollers (index No. 45) properly in housing
under seat cushion. (index No. 26) hooked ends over lugs on

Preload torsion bars by rotating adjuster
Replace preload adjuster assembly being
