OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
note:
Inform each driver of proper weight adjustment essential for a good ride.
After installing the seat, the following comfort adjustments
can be made to insure perfect performance:
I Fore and
Aft Seat
Adjustment CAI I
Seat assembly moves forward or
back 4" along ball bearing slides to suit
short- or long-legged drivers.
Back Angle
Adjustment CBJ
Back-rest angle has three positions to
accommodate driver’s preference and comfort.
3 Adjuster Lever CCJ
This hand-operated lever controls a
ratchet mechanism which adjusts the torsion
bar to the driver’s weight — from 130 to
275 pounds. Proper adjustment will position
the seat and driver midway in the
suspension, thus limiting topping and
bottoming. Proper adjustment is
indicated by the

The indicator, located inside the
left frame upright (see illustration),
CORRECT
provides POSITIVE assurance ADJUSTMENT
that the seat is properly adjusted
for the driver’s weight. If there
is too much preload, the indicator
will be forward of the upright
(Fig. 1). If insufficient preload,
it will remain behind (Fig. 2).
Adjust preload (step 3 above) with
driver in seat until indicator is
even with edge (Fig. 3).
