The Control Room shall have a floor to ceiling bullet proof
ass wall facing the test section to permit observations of
air flow patterns above and below the vehicle.
The data acquisition system, print out, controls and tunnel
control console shall all be situated in the Control Room.
The room shall be air conditioned.
Venti1ati on
The car preparation area shall have a general heating system
with a door heater situated at the overhead door. The indi
vidual rooms within the support area may be fitted with unit
heaters.
The tunnel test section shall be fitted with a unit heater to
provide comfort heat during the installation of a car.
Idle/City Traffic Test Room
The Idle/City Traffic Test Room shall be handled under a future
proj ect.
4. OVERALL ACCURACY
The control and readings of the tunnel characteristics over
the range indicated shall be such that the cumulative effects
of the deviations in these variables from set point shall have
an effect on the radiator heat transfer correlation of less than
1%.
