obtained . The writer then walked down the assembly line and observed

                      the various torquing operations and obtained manufacturing model


                      numbers of typical pneumatic torque wrenches being used.

                             A copy of a brochure from D. G. Mountz Association, Inc. , describ­


                      ing a torque wrench calibration device using a strain gage principal was

                      obtained.


                             The writer returned to Highland Park for another meeting with Fluid

                     Mechanics Laboratory personnel, Mr. Deaty and Mr. Marcell, regarding

                     the proposed aerodynamic test program. Mr. T. Bush,from styling engi­


                     neering, joined us to discuss styling trends and shapes to be tested.

                             After considerable discussion, it was agreed that we could not


                     define the number of component configurations and shapes at this time. This

                     information should fall out to a certain extent from our study phase and


                     discussions between styling and engineering. We agreed to concentrate on

                     shapes of the following in order of priority and importance:

                                    1. Front End Assembly


                                                  bumper
                                                  grill
                                                  headlamps
                                                  hood leading edge
                                                  fenders leading edg

                                    2. Green House


                                                  windshield
                                                  side windows
                                                  rear windows
                                                  roof line
