SPACE DIVISION CHRYSLER —
                                                                                                 CORPORATION

                 E. PROJECT ORGANIZATION AND PERSONNEL

Chrysler Huntsville Operations (CHO) is functionally organized as an integrated
line and staff engineering and manufacturing organization as shown in Figure 4. Projects
such as the one proposed are organized according to the specific requirements of the proj
ects and under the cognizance of an appropriate organization. Since this project involves
several disciplines within the Structures & Mechanics Engineering Department and will
require close liaison with Central Engineering, it has been assigned under the cognizance
of Mr. William P. Wright, Senior Staff Engineer. Project organization is as shown in
Figure 5. Line and staff organizational elements will be responsive to project require
ments as determined by the Project Manager on an as required basis.

Project Manager for this task will be Mr. John E. Vaughn, Group Leader of the
Theoretical Aerodynamics Group. He is well qualified to head this effort having had
extensive experience in both experimental and theoretical aerodynamics. In addition, he
has managed several research programs. Notable among these is his management of the
program to determine aerodynamic characteristics of several foreign, allied anti-tank
missiles for the Army Missile Intelligence Division. His complete resume is included in
Section F of this proposal along with those of other personnel who will be involved in the
program. Mr. Vaughn will devote approximately 30% of his time to this project.

Principle investigator for the effort will be Mr. Dale Bradley. He is well fitted
for this assignment having worked as Project Engineer for five years at the 7' x 10' tran
sonic tunnel at David Taylor Model Basin prior to joining Chrysler in 1966. This work
makes him intimately familiar with all aspects of wind tunnel testing both from a tunnel
users viewpoint as well as a tunnel operators viewpoint. In addition, since coming to
Chrysler, Mr. Bradley has participated in theoretical aerodynamic endeavors, reflected
in his resume, which serve to strengthen his ability to perform on the proposed tasks.
Mr. Bradley will devote 100% of his time to this project.

Additionally, Mr. Joe Durham will be assigned full time to the project. Having
participated in theoretical aerodynamic studies in the past several years, Mr. Durham
can be expected to contribute significantly to this program. His performance of past
projects, such as the prediction of aerodynamic characteristics of several anti-tank
missiles and the effect of jet flow issuing perpendicular to a stream flow, prove his
ability to perform well in aerodynamic investigations.

The services of Mr. R. Theodoroff from the Structures Engineering Design Section
wiU be utilized in the area of model design. Mr. Theodoroff's broad background as a
designer wiH contribute significantly to the success of the overall program. His ingenuity
and experience will assure a well designed, functional model which can be expected to
save wind tunnel test time and dollars. He will devote full time to the project during the
                 model design period of performance.
