D. PROGRAM SCHEDULE AND MANPOWER UTILIZATION
1. Program Schedule:
The proposed work has been outlined as a three phased effort to afford the
best possible working schedule. By breaking the program into these milestones of pro
gressive effort and by pausing for review and evaluation at the conclusion of each effort,
the program can be effectively managed by CEO personnel and constantly changing auto
mobile trends can best be incorporated into the overall program objectives. Figure 1
presents a flow diagram of the proposed work schedule. Figure 2 further identifies the
schedule with time frames for work completion.
During the course of the program, monthly status and financial reports will
be submitted to CEO to enable continual assessment of program progress and costs. The
monthly status reports will contain:
. Overall progress
. Current problems which may impede performance
. Proposed corrective actions
. Outline of work to be performed during the next reporting period
. Approximate man-hours and dollar expenditures and commitments
during this reporting period.
In addition, at the completion of each work phase an informal report meeting
will be conducted with CEO personnel to assess overall program progress and to impact
current automotive problems. Formal documentation will be provided at these meetings in
the following forms:
. Phase I - An interim report will be prepared which presents the
results of the literature search and wind tunnel survey.
Summary sketches will be included of pertinent works.
Recommendations will be made of parameters which
should be investigated and on the scale of the model to
be tested. A recommended facility or facilities for
testing will also be presented.
Phase II - A pre-test report will be submitted including the following
items:
Model details
. Predicted aerodynamic loads and pressures
