Mobile Control Cente
The control center was located at Daytona Speedway February 3-22,
for use by engineering personnel and the scoring system prepared for race
monitoring.
The two 125 mile qualifying races were succe c n c o fully scored as was
the Permatex 300 race.
The 500 mile race was scored, but some problems developed during
the race and traced to a remote switching function section of the electronic system.
The problem did not prevent accurate results from being obtained as corrections
were made during system operation.
NASCAR and AM radio broadcasts were again recorded during 500 mile
race.
