9. After entering the lap time a ”1=” will be typed out on the Teletype.
This number refers to box 1 position 1 and the operator should type in
the car number associated with this switch. A car with only one number
should be entered as a space followed by the number. Examples are 22.
and __6. If an error should occur correction can be made using the
method outlined in Step 8.
Car numbers should be entered for switches 1 through 15. At the completion
of the fifteenth entry the enti re ca r entry list will be retyped allowing
the operator to verify that all u ars have be en assigned.
11. At this point the system will wait for the green flag switch on the master
box to be depressed. When this switch is depressed the green light should
be lit and afte time” minus five seconds have elapsed all car entry
lights should be lighted.
12. All system poss ibilit H- (D cn including, yellow flag, pace car in front of,
add lap, delete car, pit stops, and red flag with restart should be tested.
13. To end the race the sense switch should be set to on immediately after the
lead car receives the white flag. After all cars have been entered on the
checkered flag lap (once more for the leader - twice for most other cars)
the lights should not come back on. Depression of the red flag will then
give a final tabulation of the race results.
C. Power Down
1. Turn off 28 volt power supply.
2. Turn O 4-4 4-4 logic voltage power supply in cabinet.
3. Turn Teletyp id Switch to off position.
4. Run Switch on C J omputer control console must be in memory disable position.
5. Depress power switch on control console and all ligh rt U) should be
extinguished.
6. Disconnect all scoring boxes, master box, and external AC cable - if desired.
