Telecon with Mr. M. Dawley, Chrysler Central Engineering Fluid
                     Mechanic a Laboratory

Following up on my conversation with Mr. Dawley while in Detroit
on January 1 968 regarding an area of work called "Aerodynamic Support”,
I called Mr. Dawley to express additional interest in this work, acquaint
him with our findings on local area wind tunnels and further Identify the
area that he might he interested in our technical assist nee.

Mr. Dawley identified, in general, past programs as being of a
special project type, generally associated with a race car program which
                     may be outlined as follows:

                            1. Build of 3/8 scale plastic model.

                            2. Wind tunnel tests in 5 ft. x 7 ft. sire throat.

                            3. Tests for:

                                   a. Drag

                                   b. Lift

                                   c. Cros 8wind effects

                                   d. Pressures in local areas such as vents, etc.

These tests are very basic and require a minimum of instrumentation
and test planning. Mr. Dawley stated that they were thinking of more
sophisticated test programs to investigate such things as cooling air flow,
wind noise, turbulence, etc. , but that no finding was presently available,
                                                                        u
I told Mr. Dawley that our interest was presently of an exploratory
nature and we were not sure that we could contribute enough to this program
to justify our entry but that we would like to take a closer look at their
problems, plans and programs. We could do some preliminary investigations
in order to assure ourselves and Central Engineering that Huntsville could
perform an economically and technically feasible service to the Corporation
using the talents we have developed in the aerospace field.
