2. Instrumentation and Electronics Support
a. Test Support - Grand National Cars:
The Plymouth transmission tests were instrumented with followin CD
measurements:
RPM engine
Rear wheel speed
Acceleration (longitudinal and lateral)
Converter cooler inlet temperature
Exhaust temperature
Water temperature
b. Test Support - Drag Cars:
Test of a drag car at Detroit Dragway were supported 16 - 19 June
with the following measurements:
Engine RPM
Propellor Shaft RPM
Rear wheel speed
Front wheel speed
Acceleration
Oil sump temperature

Began disassembly for disposal.
4• Special Systems Development
a. Driver Seat. Suspension :
The modified Bostrom seat was prepared for testing in he Plymouth
but interference with automatic transmission shifter box cancelled the test
b. Vehicle Thermal Insulation:
A fire resistant paint procured from Albi Manufacturin Company
was tested on samples of the polyetherurethane foam using a gas oil mixtui under
static conditions. The test results were encouraging and the paint appears to offer
considerable protection to the insulation.
