Fore spray applications and other situations where satisfactory control of vapors cannot be maintained, air
line respirators that have been approved by tho U. S. Bureau of Mines or other required approving agencies
will be required in addition to the protective equipment listed above.

2. Fire Protection . ‘ /
TDI has a flash point of 266°F. open cup, and therefore can present a fire hazard when heated or atmazied.
n 3* Protective Facilities ,
Provide ventilation as approved by Industrial Hygiene Engineering for all operations where TDI is being
used. This includes all operations until curing is complete. The location of ventilation exhaust inlet
should be as close as possible to the point of application or vapor generation.
The exhaust vapors must be released outside of tho building and the point of discharge located to prevent
•possible re-entry of the vapors into occupied areas.
Provide an ample supply of running water near locations where TDI is being used or dispersed.
4. Notify Industrial Hygiene Engineering if TDI or other isocyanates are being used in your area.
